Project security
Security is part of development.
I consider the protection of data and access when designing and implementing your application. Required safeguards and checks are clarified in relation to its use, existing systems and the agreed project scope.
Clarify requirements early
What data does the application process, who may use it and which workflows depend on it? These questions inform technical planning. Together we clarify protection needs, existing requirements and responsibilities for development and operation.
Implement appropriate safeguards
User roles, permissions, input validation and connections to external systems are among an application’s security considerations. I account for them when implementing the relevant features. Required access and handling of confidential information are agreed within the project.
Check features and interactions
I check implemented features in the context of data, permissions and integrations. The type and depth of checks depend on the application and its protection needs. Where additional independent security assessments are needed, we clarify their scope and responsibility separately.
Plan for ongoing operation
During planning we discuss who will be responsible for updates, backups and technical support after launch. Assigned tasks, support hours and response channels are agreed. This does not include blanket 24/7 support or guaranteed availability.
